The Quality Assurance department is equipped with all types of NDT/Non Destructive Testing/ equipment: ultrasonic, radiographic, vacuum pump, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle-and with qualified technicians certified in conducting the tests and interpreting the test results. NDT service is rendered to own and other customers. Tis Abay Hydroelectric Power Project, Tekeze Hydroelectric Power project are some among the customers. This department also conducts quality inspection of incoming materials, work in process and pre-delivery inspection of products. Moreover this department has the responsibility to ensure the proper implementation of QMS in MIE representing the management.
